How can I help?

Answers to the most common questions are below. If you can’t find yours, write to me directly; I build Odaq and I read every email.

Frequently asked questions

Notifications aren’t arriving
  1. On your iPhone, go to Settings › Notifications › Odaq and turn on Allow Notifications.
  2. If a Focus mode (Do Not Disturb, Sleep, Work and so on) is on, it may be silencing them. In Settings › Focus, choose that mode and add Odaq to its allowed apps.
  3. Finally, in Odaq, check that Notify me when a session ends is on under Settings › Notifications.
The countdown doesn’t show on the Lock Screen or in the Dynamic Island
  1. Go to Settings › Odaq on your iPhone and turn on Live Activities.
  2. In Odaq, turn on Countdown on Lock Screen under Settings › Notifications.

The countdown appears once a session starts. On iPhones without a Dynamic Island, it shows on the Lock Screen only.

How do I add a widget?

On the Home Screen

  1. Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen.
  2. Tap Edit in the top-left corner, then Add Widget. On some iOS versions you’ll see a + button instead.
  3. Find Odaq, pick small or medium, and tap Add Widget.

On the Lock Screen

  1. Touch and hold the Lock Screen, then tap Customize.
  2. Choose Lock Screen and tap the widget area below the clock.
  3. Pick Odaq from the list.
How do I change the durations and my daily goal?

Open the Settings tab in Odaq. Under Durations you can adjust the focus, short break and long break lengths, the number of sessions before a long break, and your Daily goal.

Where is my data? Is it backed up?

Your sessions, settings and task names are stored only on your iPhone. Odaq has no accounts and never sends your data to a server, so it has no cloud backup of its own.

If you delete the app, your history, streak and settings are permanently deleted with it.

Does the timer stop when I lock my phone?

No. Odaq calculates time from the session’s end time, so the countdown carries on when you lock your phone or switch to another app. When time is up, you get a notification and the session lands in Progress.

How is the app’s language chosen?

Odaq follows your phone’s language: Turkish if your iPhone is set to Turkish, English for any other language.
